Time to Ship - What do I do?

Still have the packaging the carrier arrived in? Perfect! You can re-use it. Just be sure to cross out any labels. 

If you don’t have the packaging the carrier arrived in, you can reuse any shipping envelope, get a free one from USPS in the US, or purchase one.

Measure the size and weight of your package - chances are it’s 2 lbs / 1kg or less!

You can purchase postage online or in person from any postal service. Input your package dimensions and choose the label.

The cheapest and easiest way in the USA is with pirateship.com. In Canada, if you’re near a Stallion Express or Chit Chats location we can make a label for you!  Also in Canada, you are welcome to sign up for your own account, use these links for Chit Chats and Stallion Express for a discount.

Make sure the carrier is completely dry, fold the carrier neatly and put it in the envelope with everything you received.

Print the label, and apply it to the package without taping over the barcode. Take a picture of the package to be uploaded to the Group Chat and drop it off at the postal carrier or in the US, arrange a free USPS pick up.

You also must type out hte tracking number and put it in the Group Chat.

FAQs

Q: What is the average cost of shipping a carrier?

A: Same in both countries! For the US, on average $9 - $16 USD, in Canada $13 - $22 CAD.

Q: What needs to be shipped with the carrier?

A: All paperwork and any accessories that came with the carrier.

Q: When do I ship?

A: You get to keep the carrier for a week. Delivered on a Monday? Ship the following Tuesday.

Q: What happens if I forget to mail the paperwork with the carrier?

A: Comment in the Group Chat and an Admin will let you know where to mail it.

Q: What if my ship date is on Sunday or a holiday and the postal service is closed?

A: You can utilize UPS or FedEx if they are available in your area or you can ship a day early or the next open business day.

Q: What if I love the carrier but want a different style?

A: You can send the carrier on to the next host and use the discount code you receive after filling out the shipping form to purchase the style you’d prefer.

Q: Where do I ship the carrier?

A: Check the Facebook Group Chat for the next host’s address. If you do not see it, ask the Admin. 

Q: Do I need to purchase insurance when shipping?
A: No.

Q: What if I can’t ship the carrier on time or want to ship early? 

A: Message the Facebook Group Chat and let the Admin know.  If the carrier is not shipped on time you will automatically be billed for the cost of the carrier.
