How to Wash a Mei Tai (Meh Dai) Baby Carrier
Wondering how to wash a Mei Tai (Meh Dai) baby carrier? Follow these simple care instructions to keep your carrier clean and in great condition.
Machine washing (when needed):
1. Use cool or warm water on a delicate or gentle cycle.
2. Fully loosen the carrier so it is open to its widest setting. Wash it alone.
3. Add a small amount of unscented detergent with no optical brighteners*.
4. Choose a low or no spin setting if available.
5. Remove promptly and tumble dry on LOW, or hang to dry indoors or outdoors out of direct sunlight.
*Important: If a detergent does not clearly state no optical brighteners, it likely contains them. If unsure, use Β½ cup white vinegar instead. Add some to the wash and some to the fabric softener compartment.
Recommended detergents:
Nature Clean Liquid, Seventh Generation Liquid, ECOS Free & Clear, and Ecover.
Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or detergents that contain these additives.
