First wrap? You'll want a "base size" - which is the size you can do the most carries with. It is the wrap size you could do  Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC) with. This size will allow you to do many full length carries.

Once you’ve determined your base size, you can find your “shorty” size wrap by subtracting 2 sizes. If your base size is a 6, you will usually find a size 4 will work well for a Ruck carry tied in front.

Sizes are based on Didymos measurements, but they can vary due to the unique nature of woven material.

Size 2 = 2.7m, Size 3 = 3.2m, Size 4 = 3.7m, Size 5 = 4.2m, Size 6 = 4.7m, Size 7 = 5.2m, Size 8 = 5.7m.

Didymos Ada - an inspirational new weave. We simply love Ada. Soft, fluffy, textured, squish to toddler worthy. Visually interesting, shimmery, and intriguing. Grab one of these, the first release!

The Ada weave marries traditional European weave patterns. This wrap is extra wide.

Ada is more wonderful than expected!

With a ~22 pound wiggly toddler, I've learned I often don't care for thinner wraps because I find them to become uncomfortable quickly. When Ada was released, I was kind of interested in the new design but when I saw the reported GSM I thought there was no way I would like it. Well, I kept reading other glowing reviews and seeing pictures with beautiful pleats and nice substantial looking knots, and decided to give it a chance. I am SO glad I did! It really is so much more supportive than I was expecting. I think it must be a combination of the weave and extra width, but my toddler doesn't strain my shoulders a bit.

Ada has so many positive qualities. Being all cotton, it washes easily and it also breaks in with a wash and 1-2 wears. It becomes soft (not the softest I've felt as it retains some texture, but it's a nice soft, fluffy cotton) and drapey and so easy to wrap with. It has a nice ace bandagey quality that molds it to your baby, and the grip from the weave holds it in place...but it's not overly grippy at all so it's easy to tighten. It's airy and light, but supportive and cushy too. Normally I wouldn't think of an extra wide for a newborn but with the thinness I think it would even work at that stage without being too bulky. Ada will be a longstanding addition to our stash. Everyone should try one!
